NUNSA National Intervenes in Madonna University Disciplinary Matter
NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES NURSING STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION (NUNSA) NATIONAL —————————————————————— The Nigerian Universities Nursing Students’ Association (NUNSA), National, has issued a statement concerning the recent disciplinary actions involving nursing students of Madonna University, Elele Campus. The National Executive Council acknowledges the concerns surrounding the suspension of fourteen (14) 500-level nursing students for one year and the expulsion of one (1) 500-level nursing student following a video circulated on social media. NUNSA National has commenced engagements with relevant stakeholders and the universities management, with the aim of ensuring that the interests and welfare of the affected students are adequately represented. The Association is calling for constructive dialogue and a fair review of the disciplinary measures, while maintaining the dignity, and welfare of Nigerian student nurses. NUNSA National also appreciates the interventions of NANNM Rivers State Chapter, NANS, and other stakeholders who have contributed to efforts toward restoring peace and providing support to the affected students and their families.
